Below are typical items that I supply for cooking over an open fire.

Trivets £15, mesh grills £40. Vintage cookware: top handled griddles £20, cast iron kettles are VERY occasionally available from £50, oval pots around £45 and up depending on size, various enamel items e.g. cups £2.50 each.
NB cast iron kettles are genuinely old items, and although thouroughly cleaned out (with de-scaler) they will almost inevitably have some scale and rust. Supply very erratic and limited.

I have a limited number of new unused old-stock aluminium kettles with metal top handles that are OK on an open fire. The knob on the lid is plastic, but won't be damaged unless you build a towering inferno! These kettles are now scarce. Medium £25, Large £30.

Tripods are about 4 foot high, and made of 1/2 inch steel rod, with a stout chain and hooks to support pots. £45 each.

Palm Drills as pictured above, are conveniently light to carry into the wood. They can be used one handed, so the work can be held securely. They allow students to make whistles, badges, spinners, animal models etc. (in fact anything needing small clean holes) with a minimum of complication and assistance. A whole FS group can be equipped economically. Normal size is 5mm diameter but other sizes are available by request. Handles are hardwood, the drill bits are of high quality and retain a good edge for ages when used in wood. £4.50 each.

Billhooks for splitting are also popular with Forest Schools. I have a range of suitable ones from £15.

I have supplied various woodland materials like hazel poles, willow rods, seating stumps and firewood to FSs, as not everyone has access to the raw materials they need. Please contact me if you are interested.
